Bernardo is owner-developer of the projects: Serena Hotel by Hilton Tapestry Brand + Ivory 214, a 240,000 square feet development, which includes a 100 rooms hotel, medical offices and retail spaces, and the famous 1212 Aventura, a 400,000 square feet development, which includes 165 apartments of luxury senior living, a food hall, retail and office space. 1212 Aventura is under construction by his company Rieber Developments,LLC. Both ventures offer EB5 Visas.
Bernardo Rieber is a Civil Engineer and holds a Master’s degree in Finances from IESA Institute. He is a Florida Certified General Contractor, Specialist Auditor in ISO 9000 Quality Standards, and Specialist in Quality Control Management. Currently he is finishing the necessary courses at HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL as a step to obtain the Certificate of Management Excellence certification.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Bernardo worked as an on-site Engineer for Residential buildings totaling 450 units in Caracas from 1990 to 1994. During the period 1995-1999, among others he worked for METRO de Caracas, a public company, supervising the rebuilding of the ground road infrastructure, following the Subway Station construction, the City of Caracas.
Bernardo moved to South Florida in 2000 and led six condominium building construction conversions. He built and renovated hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial space, built custom single-family homes, and improved over 100 individual properties.
As a Real Estate Broker, Bernardo’s real estate brokerage firm has sold and closed over $70 million in residential properties. In 2015, he pre-developed a 280,000 square feet Medical Project in Aventura, which included obtaining the entitlements through public hearings, dealing with permits, developing the EB5 program, and raising capital.
